Dance Ministry Committees


No ministry stands alone and the dance ministry is not an exception. The Dance Ministry Leader is looking for parents and members to handle several of the functioning tasks this season. Committee leaders and members are needed for the following tasks:

Attendance Committee – responsible for ensuring accurate attendance at all rehearsals and presentation opportunities, responsible for assembly of the monthly attendance report to the Dance Ministry Leader, responsible for attendance honors at the end of the season. Total needed: 4-5.

Attire Committee – responsible for ensuring each member has the appropriate rehearsal or presentation garb, responsible for the distribution, collection, cleaning and storage of ministry-owned uniforms, accessories, props, etc. before and after rehearsals and ministry presentations. May be needed to cut, sew, hem and mend uniforms. Total needed: 2-3.

InReach Committee – responsible for planning social occasions for the individual dance ministries as well as the Dance Ministry as a whole, including organizing housekeeping meetings. Ministries should have an outing/gathering every third month, not including holiday seasons. Responsible for welcoming/recruiting new members to the Dance Ministries. Total needed: 2-3.

Outreach Committee – responsible for locating opportunities for the Dance Ministries to present to the outside community, coordinate dancers, music, contact information,  transportation needs for the Dance Ministry concerts and outside engagements. Total needed: 2-3.

Secretarial andCommunications Committee – responsible for the distribution of information to ministry members/parents, responsible for minutes during ministry meetings, responsible for creating a monthly Dance Ministry newsletter. Total needed: 1-4.

Fellowship Committee - responsible for maintaining goodwill amongst the members, birthday observations, personal life milestones, etc. Also responsible for prayer leadership and focused prayer when needed. Commitee Chairperson as assigned by the Ministry Leader is Yolanda Burns. Total needed: 2 (additional members)

Concert Committee - responsible for assisting Ministry Leader in planning and bringing to fruition an annual Dance Ministry Workshop and Concert. Total needed: 2-3

Gift Committee - responsible for planning of gifting opportunities and calls, collection and reporting of all collected donations by members, presenting options for gifts to members and purchasing of Dance Ministry presented gifts, in house and community wide. Total needed: 2-3.
